Heba’s book Refuge has received the 2024 Oliver Cromwell Cox Book Award  from American Sociological Association’s  Racial and Ethnic Minorities section’s 2024.

Jessica Hardie (Faculty)

Best Laid Plans: Women Coming of Age in Uncertain Times, was awarded an Honorable Mention for the ASA Family Section’s 2024 William J. Goode Book Award.

 

Robert C. Smith (Faculty)

Won the American Sociological Association’s 2024 Distinguished Career Award for the Practice of Sociology.

 

Kristen Miller

Was awarded the American Sociological Society’s  2024-2025 Minority Fellowship .($20,000) for her dissertation on Black biking subcultures.
