The PhD program in sociology invites you to help launch a new book by Sharon Zukin, professor emerita at the Graduate Center and Brooklyn College:

The Innovation Complex: Cities, Tech, and the New Economy (Oxford University Press, 2020)

Professor Zukin will talk about power and culture in New York’s tech economy and what it’s like to do interviews and ethnography in the world of venture capitalists, startup founders, and tech evangelists. Professor emeritus Bill Kornblum will add comments based on his experience as a longtime urban ethnographer in New York, followed by a Q&A. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing.
