The annual dissertation fellowship competitions are open for application for qualified Level III students now. More information on the 2022-2023 CUNY Graduate Center Dissertation Fellowship can be found here.

In response to the continuing disruptions to academic work that have been one byproduct of the ongoing global pandemic, The Provost’s Office is pleased to announce the Catalyst Grant program to provide short term support for doctoral student research during this academic year.

A limited number of awards of $2,000.00 will be made in each of the following categories: A) Level III students: to support research aimed at the completion of a chapter or substantive portion of the dissertation. B) Level II students: whose research agenda may need to be redesigned because of ongoing disruptions prior to the submission of their dissertation prospectus.

The Futures Initiative is seeking applications from Graduate Center doctoral students in any field for a 2021-2022 fellowships. There are four new openings: Web Developer (Effective Immediately, Fall 2021), Communications Director (Spring 2022), HASTAC Scholars Co-Director (Spring 2022), Director of Public Events & Alumni Outreach (Spring 2022)

These are one-year positions and may possibly be renewed for one additional year (two additional years for students who have not received five-year GC fellowships). Graduate Center doctoral students may apply for more than one position. Doctoral students who have backgrounds underrepresented in the academy are especially encouraged to apply.
