Postdoctoral fellowship opportunity at Harvard Population Center

Qualifications: Ph.D. students

More Information: The two-year Bell Fellowship is an interdisciplinary, postdoctoral training program designed for researchers and practitioners in the fields of population sciences and/or population health. Through self-directed research, selected candidates examine a broad range of critical issues, primarily from within the HCPDS’s focal areas: 1) aging societies; 2) youth, families, and social mobility; 3) work, policy, & well-being; and 4) population dynamics of climate change. In addition to research and writing, fellows participate in weekly seminars, professional development, and other skill-building activities, plus communications & media skills training.

Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fund

CLACLS Latino Data Project 2024-2025 Fellowship

Qualifications: Ph.D. students

More Information: The Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies is pleased to offer Latino Data Project Fellowships for the 2024 ‐ 2025 Academic Year. Fellows will be expected to produce an original report for the Latino Data Project. LDP Reports are original descriptive statistical reports based on IPUMS data showing the evolution of selected variables over the last three or four decades. 20th-Century US Foundations: Fellowship Opportunity & Course

Qualifications: First- and second-year Doctoral students (below Level 3) and M.A. students

More Information: The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society at the CUNY Graduate Center is offering up to eight fellowships for participants in a spring 2025 course on 20th-Century American Foundations developed in collaboration with the doctoral program in history and the Rockefeller Archive Center [RAC]. CLACLS Reportage Fellowship

The Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies is pleased to offer CLACLS Reportage Fellowships for the 2024 ‐ 2025 Academic Year for $1,000 each. The fellowship seeks to communicate CLACLS’ original research data to a wider audience through journalistic-styled social reportage. Fellows will be offered mentorship by CLACLS to support their academic endeavors and promoted to use of CLACLS original research for their research.

Fellowship Amount: $1,000.

CUNY Graduate Center Dissertation Fellowship Competition (2024-2025)

Qualifications: Ph.D. students advanced to candidacy (level III), expecting to complete the dissertation during the 2024-2025 academic year.
Deadline: Applications due by January 15th, 2025.
More Information: Please note that the application won’t be available until November, however, guidelines will be the same as previous years (i.e. 9-page proposal, 1-page selected bibliography, 2-page CV, GC transcript, and letter from advisor, etc.). Early Research Initiative (ERI) Award for Archival Research in American Studies

Qualifications: Ph.D. students (level II & III) whose projects necessitate work in archives, repositories, and special collections (public and private) during the summer of 2025.
Deadline: Applications due by January 28th, 2025, 3pm.

Early Research Initiative Award for Archival Research in African American and African Diaspora Studies

 

Qualifications: Ph.D. students (level II & III) working in archives, repositories, and special collections (public and private) during the summer of 2025 that focuses directly on the history, society, and culture of Africans and persons of African descent.

Such level III students will only be eligible if they have not officially submitted a prospectus/proposal to their program.

Green-Wood Research Award in Urban Environmental Science

Qualifications: The Green-Wood Research Fellowship Award in Urban Environmental Science provides support for emerging investigators to conduct original research that utilizes the landscape and collections of The Green-Wood Cemetery and Historic Fund to advance the study of urban ecology and/or climate resilience.
